What A Year

2007 is coming to a close. What a year its been. I have changed jobs, decided to start my own practice, gained weight, completely modified my diet, got new eyes (Lasik), and travelled quite a bit. I have also been lucky to spend it with a wonderful girl (pictured with me). I have also finally recieved bank approval and am still on pace to start the leasehold improvements and build out within a month. Barring any unforseen hiccups, the practice should still be open by early/mid May. I couldn't be more excited.

Space, the Final Frontier

I signed a lease last week on my office space. I am now leasing approxamately 1625 sq. ft. (contingent upon bank approval). I am very excited but really won't feel fully comfortable until we start the build out. Next step, bank loan approval, equipment list, and hopefully start the build out by the first of the year.

Best in Show

The best shows on tv are (in no particular order):

The Office
30 Rock
Mad Men
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Ninja Warrior
Rob and Big

Mt. Charlotte, DC

I know I said I would write more but I really have been busy. I was graciously flown to Portland, Oregon to visit the A-dec factory and check out some of their equipment. It was a lot of fun and I got to visit Mt. Hood and the timberline resort (the outside was used as the hotel in 'The Shining'). This weekend I am off to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit the Pelton Crane factory, and next week off to DC for a course on sedation. Mom is heading to Pakistan for a month. I'm sure she will see the Admiral, Baji, LB, and the whole gang out there. She is splitting her time between Islamabad and Lahore.

Practice makes perfect!

I know, its been 4 months since I last posted. I have a new job in Small Town, USA. It pays a lot better than my last job and I only work three days a week! The other two days are spent working on getting my own practice set up. Yep, you heard right, I'm opening my own practice. It will be in Prospect, Kentucky and I can not wait. I am told that it could be as early as four months away but I feel like it might be closer to nine. I haven't signed the lease yet but we have a floorplan that has been approved by the building people. This is a picture of the proffesional office building that my practice will be in. I will put a picture of the floor plan up as soon as I know that everything is a go with the build out. I couldn't be more excited and stressed out at the same time. The office will be completely state of the art and of course will provide the highest quality of denistry in all the land. 42" plasma in the reception room. Coffee, tea, and water for patients. TV's with cable and dvd player in every operatory. Digital x-rays (1/8 the radiation exposure of traditional x-rays). Intraoral camera so you can see a picture of everything in your mouth whether you like it or not. Satellite radio streaming throught the office, no more lite music from the radio with all the talk, now you get lite music with no interruption, haha. More details to come.

Turkey Pictures

Crazy Parents, Tough Kid

You have to watch this. Looking for a new job these days. Just trying to buy a little time and make a little money until I can get my own practice started. I have to find a place where I want to open my practice first, the problem is, I have no idea where.

5 years and 3 months old Sunwoo Ban solves the Rubik's Cube

For everyone that thinks their child is so smart, back to the drawing board.

Ninja Warrior

I am obsessed with the show Ninja Warrior. If you haven't watched it, you need to. I think my favorite is either Makato Nagano, Bunpei Shinatori, or Shunsuke Nagasaki. I have been watching the show for a couple of years now, but have only recently began scheduling daily chores around it. Me and oz are thinking of building a ninja warrior course (or partial course at least). Baby bro is in Turkey with my camera, once he gets back I will post some pics of my car, his Turkey trip, etc.

Maintenance

I don't understand why apartment complex managers feel that a guy with a pony tail, numerous forearm tattoos and a toothpick hanging out of his mouth is the ultimate authority on plumbing, electrical work, painting, and small general contracting jobs. I mean, just because you own a plunger, some draino, and a pipe wrench doesn't mean anything. Oh, you have a pair of jeans with white paint stains, you must be the paint guru of the metro area. Wow, is that a philips head screwdriver, and a flathead! Watch out folks, this guy must have trained under Tom Silva.

Apparently the apartment below us has water leaking. The management keeps sending this crack team of analysts over to 'fix' the problem. Just like they fixed oz's shower....three times. I shouldn't complain, they are prompt in addressing any problems we have had in the past.

Ka-ra-te

I shouldn't laugh at this but he acts so hard by nodding at the camera before doing his thing.

Too Long

Holla at your boy, I'm back. I've been working hard (hardly working, just ask Oz) for six point five months. Got a new ride about two weeks ago! I'm pimpin' the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, Black. Got it with 22k miles on it. Now I just have to wait a little before I start making it look mean. 22's, chrome billet grill, 4 inch lift. I have to take some pictures after I wash it, but here is a photo off the web. I have officially restarted my diet today. No more Nascar combo's from Rally's. No more spicy chicken from Wendy's. No more drinking 12 oz. bags of M&M's. I have heard about a few new healthy ideas. I heard someone talking about jogging (it might be pronounced yogging...with a silent J). Also, I have been told that fruit and more water can be good for you, I'll give it a try. Does anyone besides Oz remember the Simpson's episode where Homer passes the Gym and goes "Gym (pronounce the g as in great, then eye and add an M), whats a gym?". He then walks in and sees everyone working out and stuff and says "Ohhh, a Gym!(still pronouncing it incorrectly)". Its probably one of the funniest lines i have ever heard on that show. I think it might be the episode when he climbs the mountain.
